Dozens of wildfires have been burning across the Pacific Northwest this summer, and Spokane, Washington has been hit especially hard. According to news reports, three fires have damaged or destroyed more than 900 homes and forced the evacuation of nearly 70,000 residents.
In the midst of the chaos, Spokane-based No-Li Brewhouse stepped up to help their neighbors.
On August 4, No-Li committed to donate 100% of business sales, up to $50,000, to Spokane fire relief. Over the following days, the community showed up by visiting the brewery, purchasing No-Li beer, and supporting an effort to help neighbors who lost homes and were displaced by the fires.
At the same time, small and family-owned business partners from Spokane and across the country joined the effort, contributing an additional $52,167.
Together, $102,167 has been donated to the H.O.M.E. Starts Here Fund, administered through the City of Spokane, to provide direct financial assistance to screened families affected by the fires. City leadership confirmed that 100% of donated funds will go directly to impacted families with no administrative overhead.
Community partners contributing to the effort included King Beverage, Olympic Eagle, Holliday Heating, Bloomsday, Clark’s Fork, Bob Hall Beverage, Hops Direct, and JK Boots.
“This is what community looks like,” said Jack Bryant, Brand Director at No-Li. “People all around the region answered the call. Businesses stepped up without hesitation, and together we turned a $50,000 donation into more than $102,000 to support our neighbors affected by these fires.”
For No-Li, reaching the fundraising goal does not mark the end of the community’s response.
“The fires may no longer be the headline every day, but for the families who lost homes, the road forward is just beginning,” Bryant said. “Now comes rebuilding, healing and continuing to show up for one another.”
No-Li extends its gratitude to every person who visited the brewery or grocery store, purchased No-Li beer, donated, shared the fundraiser and helped bring others into the effort.
