Every night, you can hop on a hayride, take on the hay maze, bounce around on the moon bounce, or take a shot at the “Angry Pumpkins” giant slingshot.
Sunday afternoons add laser tag, while Saturday nights bring an outdoor movie right to the middle of the patch. Just bring a folding chair, because you’ll probably want to stay awhile.
The fun gets even bigger on Market Days weekends (October 10–11 and 24–25) when around 25 vendors set up with fall goods, jewelry, clothing, home décor, and yard art. Food trucks will also be on site.

Your pumpkin can support a different local cause depending on which day you show up and that’s what makes the Universal City Pumpkin Patch such a fun one to revisit.
Every day in October, a different nonprofit organization staffs the patch, with more than 27 groups rotating throughout the month.
One day, your purchase might support Friends of the Universal City Library; another might benefit Homes for the Homeless Pets or a local school booster club.
The pumpkins themselves range from tiny minis to enormous 100-pounders, with prices starting at just $3.
Then there’s the event calendar: Heroes Day brings local first responders to the patch, Wine on the Vine turns the evening into a ticketed adults-only event, and Kids Day and Fright Night add a bit more thrill to your usual fall outing.

Alamo Heights United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch
You’ll find the classic fall setup at Alamo Heights UMC: pumpkins in all kinds of sizes, hay bales, scarecrows, and seasonal spots that make it easy to grab a few autumn photo ops while you’re there.

Devine Acres Farm
If you’re a foodie, this pumpkin patch will definitely delight you. The farm’s Monster Mac stacks white cheddar mac and cheese with pulled pork, Hot Cheeto dust, and a jalapeño, and it’s just one of several food creations you won’t find at other pumpkin patches near San Antonio.
Then there’s the Pumpkin Stroll, the farm’s signature fall attraction, where thousands of pumpkins fill a tree grove specifically set up for photos.
You can also pick sunflowers and zinnias, watch goat races, go catch-and-release fishing while staff take your photo with your catch, and grab a drink at either of the farm’s two bars.
For 2026, Devine Acres has added a Mega Slide with a 42-inch height requirement, a Music Garden, a Candy Cannon, and Zach the Singing Tractor.
Kids can meet goats, pot-bellied pigs, llamas, a miniature donkey named Eeyore, and a horse named Lily, then burn off some energy with barrel train rides, multiple mazes, rubber duck races, scarecrow dressing, gemstone mining, and a giant jumping pillow.

Graff 7A Ranch
The pumpkin patch is only part of the story at Graff 7A Ranch, where your fall outing takes place on a working cattle ranch that has been in the family since the 1840s.
The main attraction is an 8-acre maze made from 12-foot-high sorghum, with two sections that take roughly 15–30 minutes each to navigate. Owner Ken designs a new pattern every year based on whatever inspires him, so there’s no memorizing last year’s route and pretending you know what you’re doing.
In October, the 3-acre pumpkin patch adds pumpkins in all kinds of sizes, shapes, and colors.
Admission also covers MatterCorn Slide Mountain, the Tres Toboggans Mega Slide, Zippity-DooDah Zipline, tractor hayrides, Cowboy Ken’s Kiddie Korral, pig races, a double barrel train, a gaga ball pit, and live entertainment in the Dance Barn.
When you need to refuel, expect turkey legs, funnel cakes, BBQ, pizza, and kettle corn. You can even reserve a private campfire site for up to 50 people, with staff supplying the wood and keeping the fire going.

Circle N Maze
If you like your pumpkin picking with a little extra fall fun on the side, Circle N is a lovely place to spend the day.
The pumpkin patch is included with your admission, along with plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained once you’ve found your pumpkins. Think corn pits, slides, tire climbs, a sand pit, a mini maze, hay bales, and a petting zoo filled with baby farm animals.
There’s also a roping area and bouncy balls for the kids, plus weekly food trucks when everyone starts working up an appetite.
The big bonus is the farm’s 10-acre corn maze, where you can choose your own level of adventure. The design changes every year, too. 2025 brought an Alice in Wonderland theme, while the 2026 design will be revealed when the season opens.

Scenic Pumpkin Spots for Autumn Photo Ops

There’s something much more satisfying about cutting your pumpkin straight from the vine, and that’s exactly what you can do at Jenschke Orchards.
The farm grows its pumpkins right on the property, planting as early as June and keeping them irrigated through the summer. Pumpkins from the you-pick patch are $0.75 per pound.
Just come early in the season. By mid-to-late October, most of the vine-grown pumpkins are gone, although pre-cut pumpkins are still available.
Once you’ve picked your pumpkin, there’s plenty more to explore. This year’s 5-acre corn maze celebrates America’s 250th birthday, a change from the farm’s usual country music themes.
You can also take wagon rides, pick your own zinnias, visit the barnyard and farm animals, dig into the giant corn pit, go horseback riding on weekends, or try your hand at cowboy roping.
And if you’re making a day of it, Jenschke has a full on-site restaurant, a country store stocked with homemade ice cream, peach cobbler, jams, jellies, and farm eggs, plus Jenschke Cellars, the farm’s wine tasting room that opened in 2024.

Bulverde Pumpkin Patch
A monster truck school bus at a pumpkin patch? Yep. Bulverde Pumpkin Patch’s converted school bus uses monster truck hardware to carry everyone around together, while the Hayride to Nowhere adds another dose of wonderfully weird fun.
Once you’re there, you can play Connect Four, jumbo Jenga, cornhole, or hit the putting green, then try calf roping, an obstacle course, sack races, a sandbox, and a hay bale maze, all included.
As for the pumpkins, they’re all Texas-grown and restocked several times throughout the month, with prices varying by size and variety.

Pumpkin picking gets a fun twist at Pipe Creek Christmas Tree Farm and Pumpkin Patch, where you can choose your pumpkin and then take a hayride through rows of approximately 6,000 live pine trees.
The family has operated the Christmas tree farm since 1994 and added the pumpkin patch in 2010, so your fall outing comes with a backdrop that’s a little different from the usual pumpkin field.
