A reflection on life, intimate relationships, and the search for God by photographer and educator Jacob Pesci. Concerned with the human condition in the modern world, Pesci’s artistic practice explores the effects of environment, culture, and spirituality on human development and belief systems. “God Brought Me to Pittsburgh” is a lyrical documentation of Pesci’s own life experience following the death of his father and the end of his 10-year marriage. Returning home to Pittsburgh after 11 years away and rebuilding an identity in crisis.
