The sha256 Hasher custom variable template is a Server Container variable template for Google Tag Manager’s community template gallery.
Description
The sha256 Hasher template takes any input string and converts it to a (practically) irreversible hash, encoding the result in either base64 or hex.
You can use this template to satisfy the hashing requirements for personally identifiable information on platforms like Google Analytics and Facebook.
