Lost Silent Film, “The Heart of Lincoln,” Found after 100 years. – Renegade South


I’m eager to see how “The Heart of Lincoln” compares with film, “The Birth of a Nation,” a Lost Cause spectacle that romanticized slavery and glorified the Ku Klux Klan. Both films were released in 1915 followed the implementation of Jim Crow legislation and racial segregation throughout the South and in some Northern cities.—VB
