From a provocative center-stage debate to industry-leading panel discussions, The Agency’s top real estate leaders made a powerful impact at this year’s Inman Connect New York. Our leadership, top managers, and agents traveled to Manhattan from across the country and the globe to attend the conference and events at The Agency’s NYC headquarters.
“It was incredible to be back in the heart of NYC, visiting our East Coast headquarters,” shared Mauricio Umansky, Founder & CEO of The Agency. “The buzz and energy of this city are truly unmatched. Getting to mix and mingle with top industry leaders, alongside our agents, managers—and partners who traveled from all corners of the globe to connect—was absolutely energizing. This kind of collaboration and shared passion is what makes The Agency so special.”
Shaping the Future: Leadership and Global Vision at The Agency New York
On Tuesday, just ahead of this year’s Inman conference, attendees and local leadership gathered at The Agency Manhattan offices, where they welcomed Juliet Clapp, who recently joined The Agency as Senior Vice President and North East Managing Partner. Designed as a networking and learning event, The Agency’s office meeting was sponsored by Citizens Bank and touched on the state of the market, 2025 real estate predictions, our brokerage’s vision, and expert insights on the New York market.
Going Global: Mauricio Umansky Joins Panel on Capturing International Market Share
On Wednesday, Mauricio Umansky joined a panel on the topic “Going Global: What International Expansion Means For Brokerages,” moderated by Inman reporter Jim Dalrymple II.
Having overseen The Agency’s expansion to more than 130 offices worldwide, Umansky is uniquely positioned to discuss international growth strategies for brokerages. Fellow panelists included Daniel Daggers, Founder of DDRE Global and Eddie Shapiro, President and CEO of Nest Seekers.
Insights that surfaced helped brokerage leaders in attendance learn how to capture international market share and diversify revenue streams in an increasingly global economy. As The Agency continues to grow this year, Mauricio highlighted the importance of “quality over quantity,” and why it’s essential to find partners who hold our shared values of integrity, collaboration, and elevated client service.

The Great Debate Takes Center Stage
On Thursday, Inman Connect New York attendees were treated to a lively debate between two of the industry’s most central figures: Mauricio Umansky, and James Dwiggins, CEO of NextHome. The pair took center stage to debate the future of NAR’s Clear Cooperation Policy (or CCP), which has faced fierce opposition from big brokerages. The panelists had a passionate debate, with Umansky advocating for the freedom of client choice, saying that in effect, CCP stifles competition. You can see a snippet from their debate here.
The week concluded with a happy hour at The Rhymer’s Club, a stylish speakeasy recently opened as part of Café Maud in the East Village. Agents, brokers and leadership from across our Global Partners, as well as The Agency’s New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Hamptons offices gathered to celebrate and network over craft cocktails, sponsored by Citizens Bank.
