We started our day in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. We were blessed to be able to join Sunday services with the congregation of Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church. Rumple has a thriving community with core values of worship, community, education, and mission. They were such gracious, kind and generous hosts, and we set off on our bikes with full and grateful hearts.
Our travels on the Blue Ridge Parkway took us through so many glimpses of God’s beautiful creation. Majestic mountain tops and lush verdant valleys. Waterfalls and wildlife.
We arrived for our overnight stay at Glendale Springs Presbyterian Church, a place with much history of good works in the community. Glen, volunteer fire chief at the local fire department, most generously opened his doors for showers and laundry.
I am so thankful to witness such goodness in others. It reminds me why we are all here and inspires me to do good for others with the time I have been given.
