Angelia Solomon pleaded not guilty to a charge of solicitation to commit first-degree murder in a Williamson County courtroom on Tuesday morning.
She is accused of meeting with an undercover special agent with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation who was posing as a hitman in a plot to kill her ex-husband and former WSMV anchor Aaron Solomon.
On a recording of the interaction with the agent, she allegedly offered the agent money and handed over the registration to her vehicle in exchange for her ex-husband Aaron to “disappear” and be put “under the ground.”
She also accused Aaron of killing their son, Grant Solomon in 2020 and sexually abusing their daughter Gracie Solomon. Aaron has not been charged with a crime in either accusation.
“I think she needs to be restrained,” Judge M.T. Taylor, Jr. said. “The things I heard her say on the tape, I’m trying to follow the law, but they give me great pause.”
An FPD detective also revealed that Angelia allegedly plotted to murder two more people in addition to her ex-husband.
