Since the pandemic, travel has made a strong comeback. As a result, hotel and flight rates are sky-high, especially in the luxury segment. However, fortunately, almost all major travel outlets often sell miles and points with bonuses or at a discount, which can make for a good deal on the rates these airlines and hotels offer.
It would be a great time to update all the airline and hotel miles and points that are currently for sale, so you can stock up on the right ones for your travels and start planning your trips for the times ahead. This week is unusually rich, with Avianca LifeMiles offering up to a 145% bonus, JetBlue TrueBlue up to 120%, and Aeroplan and United MileagePlus up to 100%. Several hotel programmes are also offering attractive rates.
Airline Miles

Through Wednesday, September 30, 2026, Saudia AlFursan is offering a 96% bonus on purchased miles as part of its Saudi National Day promotion. Unlike many tiered sales, the bonus applies regardless of the purchase size. At the promotional rate, AlFursan miles cost approximately 1.53 USD cents each.

programme’s booking process before purchasing a large balance.
United MileagePlus is offering up to a 100% bonus or 50% discount on purchased miles (Through September 30, 2026)
Through Wednesday, September 30, 2026, United MileagePlus is offering targeted deals on purchased miles. The best accounts are seeing up to a 100% bonus or a 50% discount, while other members may receive smaller offers. At the top end, MileagePlus miles can be purchased for approximately 1.88 USD cents each, with the best rate generally requiring a purchase of at least 20,000 miles before the bonus.
United has tightened its purchase rules. Members can buy only 50,000 miles, including the bonus, in any rolling 90-day period and up to 200,000 miles per calendar year. MileagePlus does not pass on fuel surcharges on partner awards, and Air India remains available as a Star Alliance partner, which makes the currency useful for Indian travellers.

Lufthansa Miles & More is offering a 50% bonus on Bundle&Go packages (Through September 30, 2026)
Through Wednesday, September 30, 2026, Lufthansa Miles & More is offering a 50% bonus on its Bundle&Go mileage packages. These packages sell a fixed bundle of miles alongside ancillary benefits rather than pricing the miles individually.
Miles & More miles are particularly useful for Lufthansa Group premium-cabin awards, including access to some seats not made available to partner programmes. However, the programme adds carrier-imposed surcharges to many awards, and Miles & More miles have a firm expiry policy unless protected by qualifying status or an eligible co-brand card.
American AAdvantage is offering up to a 40% discount on purchased miles (Through September 30, 2026)
American AAdvantage is offering a tiered discount of up to 40% on purchased miles. The top discount applies when you buy at least 151,000 miles and brings the effective cost to about 2.26 USD cents per mile. The current offer runs through Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
AAdvantage can still offer good value on selected oneworld partner redemptions, including Qatar Airways and Japan Airlines. At this purchase price, however, the economics work best when you have already found an award with outsized value.
JetBlue TrueBlue is offering up to a 120% bonus on purchased points (Through October 1, 2026)
Through Thursday, October 1, 2026, JetBlue TrueBlue is offering a tiered bonus of up to 120% on points you purchase. The structure is as follows:
– Buy 3,000-9,000 points and get a 100% bonus
– Buy 10,000-19,000 points and get a 110% bonus
– Buy 20,000-200,000 points and get a 120% bonus
At the top tier, TrueBlue points cost approximately 1.47 USD cents each. Since JetBlue redemptions are largely tied to the cash fare, buying points speculatively is rarely compelling. This can work for a short top-up toward a specific JetBlue or partner redemption, but compare the purchase cost with the ticket price first.

Through Friday, October 2, 2026, Southwest Rapid Rewards is offering targeted discounts of between 35% and 50% on purchased points. At the best 50% discount, the effective cost is approximately 1.5 USD cents per Rapid Rewards point.
Southwest points have a largely revenue-linked value, so buying them speculatively rarely makes sense. The offer is most relevant if you are planning travel within the United States, Mexico or the Caribbean and need to top up for a specific booking. Virgin Atlantic Flying Club is offering up to a 70% bonus on purchased points (Through October 4, 2026)
Through Sunday, October 4, 2026, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club is offering a tiered bonus of up to 70% on purchased points. Depending on the account’s country of registration and the quantity purchased, the effective rate is approximately 1.20-1.48 USD cents per point.
Flying Club points can be useful for Virgin Atlantic redemptions as well as selected partners, including ANA. The programme’s pricing and surcharges vary considerably by route, so this is another offer where buying for a specific redemption is preferable to building a speculative balance.
Hotel Points
IHG One Rewards is offering a 100% bonus on purchased points (Through October 5, 2026)
Through Monday, October 5, 2026, IHG One Rewards is offering a 100% bonus when members buy at least 5,000 points. The purchase limit has been raised to 300,000 points before the bonus, so members can buy up to 600,000 points total. At the promotional rate, IHG points cost approximately 0.5 USD cents each.
IHG uses dynamic award pricing, but buying at this rate can make sense for a specific expensive stay, particularly when the cash price is high and an award night prices well. Check the redemption before buying, and remember that points bookings generally do not earn points on the room rate.

World of Hyatt continues to publish a category-based award chart, which makes the value of a prospective purchase easier to calculate. This can be a reasonable top-up for an expensive Park Hyatt, Alila or all-inclusive redemption, but it is not Hyatt’s lowest-ever sale price.

Wyndham’s fixed redemption bands can make points useful for selected high-priced hotels and Vacasa rentals, but availability and value vary. This offer is best used for a redemption you have already checked rather than for a speculative balance.

Choice Privileges can offer good value at selected hotels, particularly in Scandinavia and at some Preferred Hotels & Resorts properties. Award pricing and the booking window can limit flexibility, so confirm the property and dates before buying.

Which credit card should you use to buy miles and points?
Typically, you buy points through Points.com rather than directly from the hotel or airline. However, you will almost always pay in USD/EUR/GBP, not INR. The best cards for earning a bonus are the Axis Bank Olympus, American Express Platinum Charge Card, and Axis Bank Reserve Credit Card, as they offer an international spending bonus. Beyond these, consider any card that offers a reduced foreign exchange conversion rate or helps you meet minimum spend requirements, such as Scapia.
