Through August 14, 2026, Wyndham Rewards is offering a 90% bonus on points purchased when you buy at least 3,000 points in one transaction.
The promotion allows you to purchase a maximum of 100,000 points (the maximum points you can buy in a calendar year), plus the 90,000-point bonus. It will cost you 0.68 USD cents or INR 0.65 per Wyndham Rewards point.
If you were targetted for the 80% bonus offer, your price per point could go to 0.72 USD cents or INR 0.69 per point.
- 7,500, 15,000, or 30,000 points per room per night for a free stay.
- Use 1,500, 3,000, or 6,000 points per room plus some cash for a discounted stay.
For instance, at the Wyndham Hotel in Agra, during the tourist season (now!), you can get a room for INR 17,000 cash, or 7500 points per night (INR 6000 only). You can also use your points to stay with Vacasa, a vacation rental company in North and Central America.
Which credit card should you buy Wyndham Rewards Points with?
Typically, these point purchases are processed through Points.com and not directly by the hotel or airline. However, you will almost always pay in USD/EUR/GBP and not INR. So, the best cards to earn a bonus are Axis Olympus, Axis Reserve or American Express Platinum Charge Card, as these cards offer an international spending bonus. Beyond these, look at any card that provides a reduced foreign exchange spend conversion or one where you want to meet any minimum spend requirements.
Since Wyndham has many properties around India where there are no other chain hotels, it makes sense to buy Wyndham points if you consider staying at a Wyndham brand hotel, especially with this 90% bonus on the points bought. Of course, do your own computation and research to see your best fit.
