Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Tallapoosa, Southeastern Coosa, and Southeastern Clay Counties Until 5:15 AM : The Alabama Weather Blog


The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a severe thunderstorm warning until 5:15 AM CDT for Tallapoosa County, southeastern Coosa County, and southeastern Clay County in east central Alabama.

At 4:36 AM, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from northeast of Goodwater to Rockford, moving east at 40 mph.

These storms are capable of producing wind gusts up to 60 mph.

Potential impacts include damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Communities in the path include Alexander City, Dadeville, Goodwater, Camp Hill, and Jacksons’ Gap. Residents in these areas should take shelter immediately.
