Six Scotch whisky houses came together at Number 10 in Rushcutters Bay for the 2026 Keepers of the Quaich Australian gathering, ‘A Spirit Shared’, bringing whisky producers, Keepers, trade and media together for the evening.

The event featured six expressions: Chivas Regal 16 Year Old x Charles Leclerc, Glenfiddich 18 Year Old, The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Year Old, Laphroaig 14 Year Old Willem Dafoe Limited Edition, Ardbeg Dark Reserve and Talisker 30 Year Old.

Each whisky house hosted its own table, with representatives introducing their expression and taking guests through the liquid, production and provenance behind each release.

Colin Rochester, Managing Director Australia & New Zealand for William Grant & Sons, Chair of the Keepers of the Quaich Australia and Master Keeper, opened the evening.

“Scotch whisky has long held a special place in Australia’s culture, not only as a premium spirit, but as a catalyst for connection, conversation and shared experiences,” said Rochester.

“‘A Spirit Shared’ perfectly captures the relationship Australians have with Scotch whisky. It is a category built on friendship, generosity and shared moments.”

Global Head of the Keepers of the Quaich Tellis Baroutsis closed the evening, speaking about the Australian chapter and the momentum behind Scotch whisky locally.

Founded in Scotland in 1988, the Keepers of the Quaich is an invitation-only society recognising those who have made a significant contribution to Scotch whisky, with more than 3,000 inductees across over 100 countries.
