Sandy – 6 month old female Labrador Retriever Cross available for adoption
Meet Sandy Claws — the baby of The Nightmare Before Christmas litter, and quite possibly the most charming little whirlwind you’ll ever meet!
Born in March 2025, Sandy was rescued from an overcrowded pound in Cyprus alongside her siblings, where they were heartbreakingly at risk of being put to sleep.
Thankfully, they were saved just in time and have since grown into healthy, affectionate young pups ready to find their forever homes.
Sandy is a lively, affectionate little soul bursting with personality. She’s playful, expressive, and always wants to be part of the action — whether that’s chasing her siblings around or sticking close to the humans she adores.
She’s social and affectionate but still a bit sensitive to sudden movements or loud noises. Once she realises she’s safe, though, she melts into a waggy, snuggly, cuddle-seeking ball of love.
True to her Labrador genes, Sandy is very food motivated, which makes training both easy and fun.
She’s quick to learn, eager to please, and happiest when praised for being the goodest girl. She’s learning that hands mean treats, toys, and love — never anything scary — and she’s responding beautifully with calm, consistent reassurance.
Sandy is brilliant with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a friendly canine companion. She reads social cues well, adjusts easily, and loves both playtime and chill time.
Another dog in the home would really help boost her confidence as she continues to learn the ropes of family life.
Given her gentle and sometimes cautious nature, Sandy would be best suited to a calm, semi-rural home with a secure garden where she can explore and play safely.
She can live with children aged 7 and up who can give her the space and patience she needs to settle.
Sandy is an absolute gem — affectionate, funny, and endlessly sweet. She might start off a little shy, but once she feels at home, she’ll give you her whole heart (and probably a few muddy pawprints too).
She’s going to make one very lucky family incredibly happy.
