What Are Cloaking Stones?
I used the term “cloaking” in my book Psychic Protection Crystals to describe stones you can use to stay under the radar and avoid unwanted attention. Cloaking is a term used in some magical traditions, but it is also a little-known form of psychic protection.
You could think of it as similar to an invisibility cloak. These crystals mask your energy and give you a sense of privacy. They take the attention off you and onto something else. It’s like a spiritual VPN. Actually, we see this in nature when animals and insects blend into the background to protect themselves from predators.
How To Cloak Your Energy
These crystals work in a similar way but you do need to at least program or set an intention to get the best results (I’ve added a video demonstration below if you’re new). For an even better effect, use a shielding technique for this purpose along with the crystal. You can learn these special methods in my book if you’re interested.
Carry or wear your chosen cloaking crystal when you need to avoid drawing attention to yourself. For example if you are dealing with bullying, gossip or slander, difficult people or family members, someone bothering you or harassing you, prying, nosy neighbors or someone being obsessed with you.

I wouldn’t advise using a crystal for this purpose all the time. You might be okay, but some people could experience people just not noticing them when they need to. Again, it all depends on you and your situation. With that being said, here are the crystals:
5 Crystals For Avoiding Unwanted Attention
1. HAWK’S EYE
This is another name for what you might see sold as Blue Tiger’s Eye. I started wearing this stone as a pendant for this reason back in the 90s, when I wanted to keep a low profile sometimes. Hawk’s Eye casts a shadow over you that shields you from unwanted attention, nosy people and anyone who doesn’t want the best for you.
2. LABRADORITE
Labradorite is really unusual because, on one hand, it can help you express yourself more, but it can also cloak your energy if needed. It is certainly a bit of a shape-shifter in the crystal world. Labradorite has protective qualities and the ability to work with the colours of your aura in a way that allows it to disguise your energy from negative attention.
3. AQUA AURA
This is usually created from Clear Quartz bonded with a thin layer of precious metals including Gold and sometimes a bit of Titanium. Aqua Aura will also help you evade negativity and unwanted attention. If you are dealing with people that drain you (or psychic vampires), this works very well for that. Thank me later.
4. HEMATITE
Hematite is one of the best crystals for psychic protection in my opinion. It also has a powerful cloaking effect if you work with it with intention. Hematite looks like a mirror when polished. It works this way with your energy too. Its reflective quality not only hides your energy from those you want it to, but it reflects themselves right back at them. Helping shift their attention off you to the problem (them).
5. LARVIKITE
Another one you might not know unless it’s your Guardian Stone. Larvikite is from Norway and is sometimes known as Norwegian Black Moonstone. This stone creates a cloak of energy around you that will help shield you from unwanted attention and supports you in keeping more of a low profile when needed.
