The healing powers of music have been long recognized by indigenous cultures around the world, and my first healing credential was music therapist. Throughout my life I have, in various ways, endeavored to incorporate music, and more generally vibration, into my healing practice. Along the way I’ve learned how to play a number of instruments, composed music, and written musical social dramas. Most recently I wrote and produced a musical collection called “Livin’ The Dream.”
About The EP
The “Livin’ The Dream” EP includes five tracks, with genres ranging from country rock to singer-songwriter to Latin rock to chill pop to folk, intended to beautify, inspire, and foster healing. The song “Livin’ the Dream” grew out of doing just that, and realizing it on a sultry summer evening at my seaside Hawaii home. As a musical autobiography, “Livin’ the Dream” captures my life in under four minutes, which is a miracle ‘cause, well let’s just say, people say I’m a real talker. The full-band (01) and unplugged (05) versions offer different energies and vibes to float the dreamin’. “Did Forever Pass Away” (02) takes an intimate look into my private, sensitive heart. “Our Love Will Find A Way” (03) delivers passion, promise and past-life connection through some fiery Latin rock that craves expression. “I Believe” (04) shines cosmic light on the spiritual truths that can help us heal our lost and broken world. It’s a journey, perhaps not unlike your own, that begins and ends with shades of “Livin’ the Dream.”
Adding Art to Artistry
Zoe Reinhardt, an award-winning Texas artist, created an original painting for the cover representing her vision of livin’ the dream, and her Mom Heidi, a professional art photographer, shot Zoe painting it in a grassy field —literally livin’ her dream! This photo of Zoe painting her masterpiece is now the EP cover! So “Livin’ The Dream” features my original music, along with the mother-daughter Reinhardt art, to add some beauty, hope and love vibrations to a hurting world! And since my label manager said I could include a digital booklet with this release, Zoe, Heidi & I made it happen. Please check it out here, and let us know what you think! In the booklet you will find photos, lyrics, bio, and back story; as well as link buttons to music videos and my artist site.
Digital Booklet Photo Context & Significance
*General: All involved in the digital booklet photo images, both as models and creators, come from a legendary tribe of wolves and angels.
Billy Ray Riding Nui in Hawaii: As a musician, healer, and author, near his seaside Hawaii home, Billy Ray shares a special moment with a friend of wisdom. Through a series of love and miracles, his sacred path is strewn with the footprints of a dream. “I have always wanted to help people heal and make music, love horses, wolves, and dogs; and crave the ocean like the wind craves open spaces. I am truly blessed to ride and live the dream!”
Emily Shelton Stroking Lucien the Wolf: Actress, model, and dancer Emily is living her dream of protecting wolves and beautifying the world with art and dance. Emily is moving more fully into modeling, so to check out her portfolio and / or contact her, please click here. SERIOUS MODELING INQUIRIES ONLY.
Lucien is an ambassador for the protection of wolves, and will soon be starring in a feature film. To contribute to the survival of the wolf, please click here..
Zoe Reinhardt Sketching in Barcelona: Zoe is an award-winning artist, aspiring chemical engineer, and entrepreneur, who recently married her childhood sweetheart Max, now one step closer to living her dream of traveling around and painting like the masters. In this photo she is sketching in a cafe in Barcelona during the summer of 2023. She also created the painting in this cover, and her mom Heidi, herself an award-winning commercial and art photographer, took the photo. To commission a custom painting from Zoe, or schedule a shoot with Heidi, you can contact them at [email protected] or click here to check out Heidi’s work!
Grill of Classic Car: Billy Ray and his dad did a lot of car-talk-dreamin’ during his childhood, so this piece creates reflection and remembrance. He has a Tesla now and, ironically, they have no grill, LOL (but they still love a good BBQ)!
Georgia Norris All Dressed Up: The pretty woman in the beautiful blue dress is Billy Ray’s mom, dressing up to see his dad for some country lovin’! They are sweet soulmates who, through each other, live the dream!
Billy Ray & The Norris Children’s Choir in the Studio: After writing “I Believe,” a cosmic pop track with a jazz structure and spiritual focus, Billy Ray heard a children’s choir singing songs last Christmas. He suddenly knew what was missing, and, thanks to 2 local elementary schools, created the Norris Children’s Choir to complete the choral dream.
Audrey Reinhardt & the Powder Paint Mystery: Tossing powder paint to the wind, running through its magic giggling, a little girl knows what it means to live the dream! As her mom Heidi captures the moment, I guess, for her as well, a budding dream was seen.
*So as you have probably surmised by now, Billy Ray Norris, Livin’ The Dream is a family project, packed with magic, love and sweetened celebrations!
Please check it out, add a song or two to a playlist, share it on your socials, like, subscribe or follow, and let’s all take one more step toward livin’ the dream!
*In my next post we’ll take a look at vibrational healing, including the use of vibrating light and vibrating plasma.
