This is a part of the show where I Vivien talk to and about crystals.

Our crystal guest today is Eudialyte, a name that is both hard to hear and to spell.

So I will take a moment to do that for you.

It’s E-U-D-I-A-L-Y-T-E.

Eudialyte.

Eudialyte and I are old acquaintances.

When I first began purchasing crystals, some wealthy friends asked if they could also come to the gem show because they also wanted to acquire some crystals and I said sure.

I then watched my friends who could buy anything they wanted selecting a high end and very big sphere made from Eudialyte.

What an interesting stone.

It had the most gorgeous and indefinable inner glow.

Eudialyte has a very interesting appearance.

It is a deep pinkish red, sometimes burgundy color, mottled with black and white.

You know, Eudialyte was so difficult to describe that I went to get some help because it’s worth taking the trouble to do this.

The coloration of Eudialyte comes from the structure of it and that structure is what determines its capacities and its functions.

So here’s what my help said.

Eudialyte’s color is one of those immediately recognizable but hard to reduce situations.

So I’ll give it to you in functional language, not just descriptive.

At its core the color sits in a raspberry to wine red spectrum, not ruby, not garnet.

It is a slightly softened diffused red as the white has been mixed into it.

That’s why people often experience it as a pink red rather than a hard saturated red.

But that’s only one layer.

What makes you Eudialyte distinctive is the interference pattern.

The red is almost always interrupted by black and it’s a deep matte black, usually from Aegirine, and lightened or framed by white to cream, often nepheline or feldspar.

So instead of a single color you get a three-part system.

Red, black, white.

And it often reads like raspberry ink spilled into stone.

I’ve never seen raspberry ink but I’d like to.

So there was a vein, patches, islands of red suspended in a black-white matrix.

You see I’ve gone to a lot of trouble to tell you about that but it’s because all of those colors are different minerals and creating different effects that’s layered and interactive.

And here the help went on to say it works on more than one layer at a time, inducing harmony between layers by synchronous adjustment.

Subtle, pleasing, brings a smile and I can confirm that.

When we put it all together, you Eudialyte is a stone of integrated signal.

It brings meaningful content into the system in a way that can actually be used.

It’s characteristic raspberry red coloration carries emotional, relational, and identity level information.

But unlike more saturating stones, it does not overwhelm or flood.

Your Eudialyte delivers signal in distributed packets allowing multiple layers of the system to receive and respond simultaneously.

So instead of it being a loud single blast that’s overwhelming, it’s like a pulsing you see and that makes a big difference.

Now here’s the big thing about your Eudialyte.

It has a distinctive way of working with the heart.

It allows the heart to turn inward toward the self without closing down.

Many heartstones such as morganite or rose quartz tend to open the heart outwards into connection, bonding, and giving.

Your Eudialyte does something structurally different.

It brings meaningful emotional and identity level signal back into the system in a contained, organized way so the heart can register, process, and integrate its own experience.

This creates a state of self-referencing rather than other referencing.

The heart becomes aware of itself as a center, not just as a respondent to others.

This explanation is particularly interesting to me because your Eudialyte has such a specific use in crystal surgery which exactly aligns with this capacity.

When I want to bring the energy body back into a full alignment with the physical body, I use three stones, namely carnelian, heliodor, and your Eudialyte.

All three of these stones work dynamically with the self and now I understand better how your Eudialyte is doing this and why no other heart stone can be substituted in this procedure.

Your Eudialyte is unique in its action of helping the heart to self-reference.

When I ask your Eudialyte what message it wants to share with you today, it says, “Notice how when you look at me I do not shine, I am matte.

Note also that this draws you in toward me as the first effect.

Rather than stimulating you with shine, I draw you into a new place which is not really a place but a different state of being.

This message is so compelling to me that I went and got my little worry stone so that I can experience this for myself.

The effect was instant.

I could feel the periphery receding around me so I used my peripheral vision a lot so this was an actual physical experience and this was not about blocking up the outside world.
