“A Quiet Place” by Giannis Gogos was created as an exploration of warmth, memory, and the quiet spaces between thoughts. Most of the tracks were composed using a Korg MS-20 Mini, allowing its raw analog character to shape the emotional backbone of the record.
The melodic layers throughout the album originate from custom patches he originally designed on the iMS-20 app. Rebuilding those sounds on the Mini became a process of rediscovery—translating digital sketches into living, breathing analog textures. The subtle imperfections, gentle drift, and tactile feel of the hardware added new depth to the compositions, turning each track into a small, handcrafted world.
What emerged is a collection of pieces that blend nostalgia with clarity, warmth with restraint—music meant to drift with you, to settle into the background, or to pull you inward when you need a moment of stillness.
