Solly’s heart had broken from unrelenting pain.
He has suffered from the parasite “mange” and it has taken away not only Solly’s fur, but it seems his very life force. He also had a painful ear wound. We found him curled up, so alone, so destitute, a sad white shadow dying alone. He’s so thin. Oh what a beautiful thing it is to be able to wrap our arms around someone so fragile and defeated. You’re not alone anymore, Solly! We’ve got ya!
We started treatment immediately and gave him food he loved, and the comforting hands of many people over many days. Solly is an older boy without that wriggly tail wagging energy of a puppy, but there can be no doubt when you look in his eyes, Solly feels our love, and gives it right back to us, so happy to be alive.
