Natsume getting all excited over the idea Aya is going on a trip with Mio.

After Tamaki mentions she wants to take part in a tournament, EVO Japan, Mio gets excited. However, Mio has trouble convincing her mother to sign the excursion form. I wonder how she can convince her to sign it without saying she is doing to for video games.

Morino has special plans, but won’t say what they are.

At the beginning of the episode, it’s interesting that Morino and Hana are dropping off forms. Apparently, Morino has special plans during the break, as Hana plans to go somewhere too and took her offer to go to the station with her. Still, it makes me wonder about her plans.

Mio seems excited as she sees the vacation plans.

Mio has something to say as she haven’t completed the excursion slip.

Mio gone so far to forge signatures (which is illegal) so she doesn’t have to ask her mother for permission.

Aya convinces Mio to take the right path, instead of breaking school rules and laws.

Mio really wants Aya to talk to her mother.

With Tamaki thinking about entering a tournament, they planned the whole group trip around it. While Yuu and Tamaki came up with an itinerary for the trip to Tokyo, it’s not surprising that Mio is in a tough spot. After all, she is afraid that her mother won’t sign the permission slip, as she will think her daughter is just going to Tokyo to play video games. Funny how she will forge her mother’s signature to go without her noticing. The funny thing is, Aya prevents Mio from going ahead with it as it would be worse than just confronting her mother. After all, if she finds out if something goes terribly wrong and her mother finds out. Well, it won’t end well. At least Aya says that if they pitch it as a vacation and not an excuse to play video games, it will work out. At least Aya coaxed her into taking the right path. Nice to see Mio hug her until she begs Aya to do all the talking.

Her mother really wants to make sure her daughter is not going on vacation just to play games.

As for convincing Mio’s mother, she seems impressed that her daughter made friends instead of caring only about video games. Not only that, Mio showed she got good grades as they had tea. After Aya said they were going to Tokyo to go sightseeing, Mio’s mother was worried that her daughter would be a burden since she only cared about video games. Tamaki and Yuu do their work by showing their itinerary, as Aya reassures her that everything will be fine. After Mio tried to prove she worked so hard and wanted to go on this trip, her mother recognized her achievements. However, she gives a sense of dread as said the trip has nothing to do with gaming whatsoever. This gets everyone on edge, but thankfully she entrusts Mio’s friend to look after her daughter on the trip. So, they got over one hurdle, as long as she doesn’t find out.

That said, after getting off the airport, Aya wondered if they were in Tokyo, but the airport seemed empty. They are still an hour away from Tokyo. Thankfully, Yuu got Tamaki to the right path as she was about to wander back into the airport. Funny how while on the train, Mio seems annoyed that Yuu registered her as “Shirayuri,” the name she doesn’t like. However, Yuu apologizes as she was half asleep when she registered herself in the tournament. Also, it’s interesting to see Aya’s, Yuu’s, and Tamaki’s player names as Inuyu, Ayaman, and Teya-senpai. It’s interesting to see how they came up with those names.

Eventually, Aya and her friends arrived at Yuu’s house, where they were going to stay. I find it hilarious how Aya and Mio go for the laptop and fighting sticks. Yes, they went all the way to Tokyo just to play video games, something that they say they would not do to Mio’s mother. Even Yuu seems disappointed, as she wanted to explore Tokyo with her friends. It’s obvious preparing for the tournament is more important than sightseeing. Obviously, she became annoyed until she gave in. Of course, Aya explains the strategies Mio uses in studying her opponent’s moves. Of course, Mio says hitting the button harder does the trick, while Aya thinks she will just break the buttons.

Yuu comforting Tamaki as she feels nervous.

As Yuu browsed videos, Tamaki took a break as she had lost again. Sure, Tamaki is feeling nervous. She wonders if she can play seriously at the tournament. I find it funny how Yuu says Tamaki is too serious, as they are schoolgirls who came to Tokyo just to get holed up in a room playing games. Tamaki admits they are fairly hardcore, but can’t catch up. Yuu thinks she can, as she understands how Tamaki feels, because she notices how hard she pushes herself, which is no wonder Yuu feared her at first. Either way, she wants to have fun with her at the tournament tomorrow.

Of course, we saw glimpses of male streamers playing Street Fighter 6. Yes, it’s what you would expect. Gekido, who mains Chun-Li, looks like your typical delinquent. He suffered some losses as he tried to get 100 wins. Also, Cecil is your typical guy you would see in a shoujo manga. The funny thing is, a rather new and unknown player defeated gekido in a match, and the player’s name was “Alice Alice A.” that won against her. This gets him interested, as that player might be at the tournament.

Meanwhile, in the hotel room, is that Morino in a hotel room with her younger sister, Arisa? She was playing an online match under the player name, “Alice Alice A?” I guess this is the “special plans” Morino is talking about. She is chaperoning her little sister at a fighting game tournament. I wonder what her reaction will be when she sees Aya, Mio, Tamaki, and Yuu. Either way, Arisa, the fighting game prodigy, might be a formidable boss if Aya or Mio ends up in a match against her.
