Rogue Amoeba has updated two of its audio utilities to provide preliminary support for the macOS 27 Golden Gate public beta—Airfoil 5.12.7 (wireless audio broadcasting) and Fission 2.9.5 (audio editor). While there are no known issues at this moment and the apps no longer warn you on launch when running Golden Gate, Rogue Amoeba encourages sticking with non-beta macOS releases for the best app experience.
Airfoil 5.12.7 also fixes a crash that could occur due to improper resource clean-up when installing Loopback or SoundSource multiple times. Fission 2.9.5 updates the backend ffmpeg component (used to handle importing audio) to version 8.1.2, makes minor updates to cue sheets, and resolves an issue where focusing on text labels in the Summary tab prevented keyboard-based control over audio playback. Software update notifications in both apps are now less obtrusive.
