Rogue Amoeba has issued SoundSource 5.8.2 to resolve an issue that could cause significantly increased memory usage when using third-party Audio Unit effects. The audio control utility also updates the menu bar icon to prevent it from incorrectly appearing highlighted on inactive displays, and ensures that the large orange macOS microphone-in-use indicator disappears after an app stops using the microphone.
