I’ve been experimenting with discharge dyeing using a homemade printing block and an applicator for fine details. In honor of both @montereybayaquarium’s Deep Sea December and Welcome to Nightvale, I started with a jellyfish:
I’m printing on some scraps of black cotton left over from another project–literally picked off the floor under my sewing machine. I’m still getting the hang of how heavy to “ink” the stamp. The one on the right is the best so far. Once I get it right I’ll make some more sea life stamps and make something with it.
