5 Bible Verses to Remind You it’s Okay to be Right Where You Are
Life can be overwhelming, and many of us find ourselves in the comparison trap. We don’t realize we are doing it, but we start by stating how our friend is doing x, y, and z and think we should do it too.
I’ve been guilty of it. Sure, I see these amazing women around me who have published multiple books, have a podcast, and YouTube channel, and on a good day, I can sit and write a devotional.
It’s okay to be where you are. It’s okay to be right where God has planted you. Whether that’s in another country doing missions, in your local church or school loving others like Jesus, or working in your four walls at home to raise Kingdom warriors, it’s all admirable work. If God calls us to it, He’s going to see us through it.
So whether you feel on top of the world with your successes and your future year or feel like the world is weighing you down, it’s okay to be right where you are. If we are obedient to God in the process, we are right where we are called to be.

The next time you are struggling with where you should be, remember these 5 verses:
Isaiah 41:10
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”
God’s holding our hand through the storms and the hard days. He gives us courage and strength to make it through the days. These words have brought me comfort through the last few years as I faced different circumstances.
Philippians 1:6
“I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ”
God’s not done with us. He will continue to lead you to do His Work and His Will until the day Jesus returns. He will sustain us until the work is done.
1 Corinthians 1:8
“He will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ”
When the frustrations and the questioning if you heard God right, remember this verse.
He sustains us. He brings His work to fruition.
These next two verses are close to my heart.
Psalm 46:1
“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble”
When we face comparison or overwhelm remember God is there. He’s right there in the middle with you.
The world may be screaming, but the God of the universe is standing right there giving you strength. When you feel weak, lean in. He has the strength to carry you forward.
Psalm 28:7
“The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped”
God grants you the strength to do His will. Often we try to do it ourselves to find ourselves defeated, exhausted, and frustrated. But when we commit our ways to the Lord, He helps us.
He gives us strength and rest by protecting us (shielding us from the enemy). We trust God is in control.
