It is not too late to start checking out wine-inspired vacation destinations in British Columbia. But if you have children and/or fur babies, you may want to pick locations and wineries that have something to offer for them as well. Here is a list of BC wineries and more that have family-friendly options for parents travelling with children or pets for 2025. Some of the information for BC wineries in 2025 are updates from winery options I received in 2024. I have included a link to the 2024 article I wrote, but I cannot guarantee all the information from 2024 as I have not heard back from all the wineries in that article.
If your winery also offers something for children and/or pets, please contact me and I will add your information to this list.
Family and Pet-Friendly Wineries

We have 3 different juices that the children can sample, or if they prefer, the parents can purchase for them a Juice Flight of all 3, which gives them 1 ½ ounces per juice. The juice flights include Apple, ABC, and Cherry juice. The children can have the juice flights, while the adults can have our wine flights!
We have a picnic area, where we have a couple of Outdoor games, that the family can play while they sip their flights or have a glass of wine or purchase a bottle to share. They are welcome to bring a picnic lunch, or a charcuterie board to enjoy and look at the view of the lake.
Dogs are welcome in the wine shop and in our outdoor space as long as they are on a leash. We have a doggy dish for the dogs to sip their beverage of water!
We are the third-oldest winery in West Kelowna. We are the sister property to Kalala Organic Estate Winery and we are also family and dog friendly. Karnail purchased Little Straw in 2021 and now owns eight Vineyards, two wineries and a total of 70 acres of grapes. Little Straw is an organic-certified vineyard.
Our restaurant is under construction right not and the opening date is TBA. Dogs are not welcome in the restaurant spaces, but are allowed in the wine shop as long as they are on a leash.
We offer charcuterie boards, but we need to be notified 24 hours ahead of booking time so we can get the ingredients and prepare them.

Our cozy indoor lounge is a perfect spot to unwind—kids are welcome to kick back while parents relax with a tasting flight. Prefer the outdoors? Our spacious picnic area is ideal for little ones with energy to burn and furry friends alike.
We also offer delicious, house-pressed apple juice made from our own old-growth orchard—perfect for kids, designated drivers, and anyone looking for a refreshing non-alcoholic option while supplies last. Starting in June, our picnic fridge is stocked with a curated selection of meats and cheeses, ready for those who want to graze and savour the vineyard views.
Everyone’s welcome here—all ages, all seasons.
