
As 2025 winds down, I’m reflecting on a year that seemed to pass in a flash. So many decisions, so much life packed into these twelve months, and through it all, I began understanding myself better, accepting what truly works for me, one slow step at a time, much like a snail. What I’ve learned from a snail is that moving slowly isn’t falling behind, it’s choosing presence over pressure. Life may sound poetic this way, but it’s full of lessons, and every path it shows has its own meaning. It’s up to you to choose which road is truly yours. I know it’s taken me four months to put this blog out, but what could I have possibly written when, deep down, I was struggling, fighting burnout, and learning to embrace the life I chose? Life, after all, is meant to be lived, not just survived. So yes, hello to all. I hope your year ended as you wanted or at least taught you lessons that help you understand yourself better, and reassure you that, even if it didn’t feel like it, you’re on the right path.
I recently watched a movie on Netflix… “Like Father”, and I was amazed by the end, at how much I could relate to that movie, the dialogue, “I spent so much time building a life that looked right, I forgot to check if it felt right.” I escaped life by draining myself for weeks, then months, then years. My past conditioned me to survive, and as a survivor, I forgot what rest felt like, until my body forced me to listen. My health started to deteriorate.
