Good News, a GIVEAWAY & Opportunities for Writers and Illustrators!
Hello world!!
Welcome to my kidlit blog, Blissfully Bookish. I come bearing three pieces of good news, with a giveaway and some opportunities for writers and illustrators.
1. Fall Writing Frenzy Unveils its Donors!
The Fall Writing Frenzy competition is moving ahead, and we just put up our donor page!

We are so grateful to these very talented agents, editors, authors, and illustrators who are donating their time to provide critiques to the winners. We truly appreciate their generosity and support of emerging writers!
Here’s the link to the rules again:

Please note: The opening to enter the competition has been extended from October 1 to October 8!
This is a great opportunity for those of you without agents who would like to sharpen your craft and receive valuable feedback from industry professionals.
2. Groucho’s second adventure!
My second book in the Groucho the Grouchy Groundhog series, titled, The Terrifying Turnip Takeover! is now celebrating its six-month birthday!
Naturally, a birthday calls for a giveaway. And since this is Groucho we’re talking about, I’m sure there will be plenty of… turnip-ing up the fun.
To participate in the giveaway, comment in the blog with your favorite kind of pancakes. Mine are chocolate chip, obviously!
3. Nevada SCBWI Mentorship Program
The Nevada SCBWI mentorship program is currently underway, and I’m thrilled to be one of the mentors! There are many incredibly talented authors and illustrators participating. So….if you’re an author or illustrator looking for mentorship, the application process is open right now!

Be sure to check it out if you’re interested in taking your writing or illustrating to the next level.
That’s it for today — three wonderful things to celebrate! 🥳
Love & Light,
Lydia
