Hello and welcome to my monthly round-up of books, garden and days out. I have had another quiet month with the books, but the garden has been going mad! I have also had a couple of days out as well.
I had a day out at Penrose Estate, a National Trust property, and it’s a wonderful walk through parkland, woodland, and then onto a beach, Loe Bar. Loe Bar beach is notorious for rip currents, so it is definitely not a place to go swimming. There is a freshwater pond that is also off-limits for swimming, as it is a nature reserve. It is a gorgeous walk down and well worth it.
My nest day out was another National Trust Property, Glendurgan Garden is a gorgeous mix of tree ferns, woodlands, shrubs and gardens. I walked down there to get to the beach at the bottom. It was here that I went swimming in the Helford River. Another gorgeous walk.
As I mentioned, the garden has been going well.
