I’m delighted to wish Beverley Harvey ‘Happy Publication Day’ on the launch of her latest novel The Summer We Lied, a gripping, twist-filled psychological thriller about friendship, betrayal and the corrosive nature of secrets. This sounds like the perfect beach read, especially as it’s set partially in Majorca to bring the summer vibe.

What’s the Book About?
On a fortieth birthday trip to Majorca, long-buried secrets threaten to shatter the bond between three best friends.
Nineteen years ago, Jo Watts’ twin brother Gavin vanished without a trace. Now, with their fortieth birthday approaching – and desperate for answers – she hires a private investigator to uncover what really happened.
As Jo travels to Spain to celebrate with her best friends, Devon and Michelle, tension simmers beneath the surface. Old jealousies are reignited and, as the drinks flow under the Mediterranean sun, the cracks in their friendship begin to show.
Because they’ve all been lying.
Back in London, the investigation into Gavin takes a dangerous turn. And as past and present collide, Jo is forced to confront a devastating possibility: the people she trusts may be the ones with the most to hide.
The closer Jo gets to the truth about her brother, the more dangerous it becomes.
The Summer We Lied is perfect for fans of Lucy Foley and Claire Douglas.
