MY REVIEW

Welcome to The Close a beautiful street of mansions, where gorgeous Stella is the indisputable Queen Bee. I have been reading novels by my favourite author Jane Fallon for years. I was so surprise to see this book in a charity shop, from where I purchased it from. With so many books to get through, I must admit I hadn’t bought any more, this means, not even from my top favourite authors. So when I see this in the charity shop I decided to buy it and read it. For those of you readers that aren’t familiar with the way Jane writes, here is a small part of a chapter. I think you will quite agree with me the writing is beautiful. I highly recommend reading Queen Bee.

A small stone water fountain standing proudly in the middle of a complicated arrangement of low hedges. Three storeys high and the width of five terraced houses, it’s vast. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would end up living somewhere like this. I drag the last of my boxes from the boot of the car and look around me in awe as I carry it in. The other seven houses in the close are all similar but different enough to give them the illusion of individuality. ….
