WTF did I just read? This is my first time reading the author. I chose the title at random when browsing on Amazon. The book lures you into a false sense of security with cute talking animals and a beloved children’s book seemingly come to life. Who wouldn’t be enchanted in such a setting? It’s as if I opened my front door one day and walked into Narnia and Mr Tumnus waved at me. How cool would that be? But things get very dark pretty quick and what seems to be a cute fantasy story about talking animals turns into a crazy, disturbing gory horror that I couldn’t put down. This is a riveting read.
