Every year there’s at least one festival announcement that makes me stop scrolling. This year, it’s was Daisy Chain Fields.

Created by Olivia Rodrigo, this brand new festival heads to Great Park in Irvine, California on August 29, 2026, with an inaugural lineup that already feels like a feminist fever dream. From legendary artists to some of today’s fastest-rising names, Daisy Chain Fields brings together an incredible mix of indie rock, alternative, punk, pop, and beyond.

As someone who loves discovering new artists just as much as seeing longtime favorites, this lineup immediately jumped to the top of my must-watch festival list.

Why Daisy Chain Fields Stands Out

Launching a new music festival is never easy, especially when there are already so many great events on the calendar. But Daisy Chain Fields arrives with a clear vision.

The festival celebrates women and female-fronted artists while also supporting nonprofit organizations that advocate for women and girls. That mission gives the event a unique identity beyond just an excellent lineup.

I also appreciate how thoughtfully the artists were selected. Instead of focusing on a single genre, the festival brings together multiple generations of female artists who have influenced one another, making it just as exciting for longtime concertgoers as it is for younger fans discovering these artists for the first time.

Artists I’m Most Excited to See

It would be impossible to narrow this list down to just one.

Garbage has been one of my favorite live bands for years, and Shirley Manson remains one of rock’s greatest frontwomen. Stevie Nicks is simply iconic. Chappell Roan continues her incredible rise, while Bikini Kill and The Breeders each bring bring their bad ass Riot Girl energy I love so much.

I’m also looking forward to spending time discovering artists I haven’t seen before. That’s always one of my favorite parts of any festival. Some of the best live performances happen on the smaller stages before everyone else realizes how good those bands are.
