Getting Tattooed (With An Autism Assistance Dog)
By some serendipitous coincidence, I was booked in to get tattooed during Assistance Dog Week (3rd – 9th August) and my tattoo artist, Vivi, was super keen to meet Daisy since, due to a peak in the heatwave, I hadn’t been able to bring her to my first session with her. So, during our Assistance Dog Week session, we both made videos about the session and about having an Autism Assistance Dog in the studio as a way of helping to normalise the presence of assistance dogs.

I’m not sure I have much more to say without repeating myself from the videos. But I’m so grateful to Vivi for my gorgeous tattoos, for the lovely session, and for the welcoming and accepting space she has created with her studio. And I love my new tattoos so much. I have wanted the quote for so many years and I’m so happy to finally have my Erin LeCount tattoo, the lyric she wrote for me when I first met her earlier this year. They both mean so much to me and I couldn’t have asked for a better session in which to get them.
