Find Waldo Local is a nationwide “shop local” event cosponsored by the American Bookseller’s Association and Candlewick Press – the publisher behind the famous Where’s Waldo? books. And Dad Suggests books has been chosen once again to be your local host this year in Northwest Arkansas!
Our children’s bookshop is very honored to host this great event again, and we’re proud to once again be joined by several fantastic local businesses around town. I think families had a lot of fun with the hunt last year, so I’m excited it’s happening again.
Waldo will be hiding around town in several of your favorite local businesses, and it’s going to be your job to track him down at every stop. One big change this year is that each Waldo will have a QR code with him for you to scan and submit your entry. This is how we’ll know you found every Waldo and that you’re eligible for the Grand Prize!
Taking photos for social media and using the hashtag #WheresWaldoFayetteville2024 will give you an entry for runner-up prizes and you can do this once at each store you visit!
It’s a citywide Waldo manhunt, and you’ll have 2 weeks to complete your mission this year. The contest runs form July 17th – 31st. And if you want the grand prize, you gotta find them all!
I hope you’re as excited as I am about this fun event, and I hope you plan on joining us during these last 2 weeks of July while we run around town hunting Waldo and supporting local businesses at the same time.
