Meet cosmosy: Himesha, De_Hana, Kamión, & A’mei

At Anime Expo, Dorkaholics was invited to meet the four members of cosmosy: Himesha, De_Hana, Kamión, and A’mei. This global girl group under NTT Docomo Studio & Live and Sony Music Entertainment Korea debuted last year with their digital single “Lucky=One”. The name of this all Japanese group, cosmosy, comes from “cosmos of youth”, alluding to an ever-expanding universe that is an “infinity of cosmos” and the endless “possibilities of youth”. 

What made cosmosy dorks growing up?

As expected of pop stars under Sony Music Entertainment Korea, being a fan of K-pop would be a dorky pastime from childhood as Kamión shared.

“I’m a huge K-pop fan. Ever since I was little, I’ve listened to it every single day,” Kamión said. “I really love it.”

And sometimes being a dork is about the things we literally consume, as it is with De_Hana and yogurt.

“I’m a huge yogurt fan,” De_Hana confessed. “I eat yogurt every day, and I never get tired of it.” 

And for Himesha and A’mei, they were dorks about dance.

“I’m a total dance dork. My friend started [dancing] when we were kids, so I started too,” Himesha recalled. “And then, I fell in love with dance.”

“I’m a big dance fan. I’ve loved to dance and music ever since I was a kid,” A’mei said. 

Musical inspirations for cosmosy

As an idol group, the members of cosmosy were inspired by both idols in Korea as well as music artists from English-speaking countries. 

“I really love [TWICE]. They made me want to be an idol who could sing and dance well,” Kamión stated. “I also really love IZ*ONE. They inspired me a lot in many ways as an idol.”

“Justin Bieber inspired me a lot,” De_Hana expressed. “He’s amazing at expressing emotion through his voice, and he made me love singing even more.”

“Ed Sheeran inspires me a lot. I really like his songs, and his voice is so soft,” Himesha shared. “That’s why I really like his [music].”

“I really looked up to BLACKPINK. I loved their performances and music,” A’mei said. “They inspired me to become an idol.”

Anime recommendations from cosmosy

Being at Anime Expo 2026, it was only natural to ask the group for current series on their watch list that they recommend. 

“I recommend Demon Slayer. It’s emotional and exciting,” Kamión shared. “My favorite character is Mitsuri Kanroji because she’s kind, cute, and sweet, but she’s also really strong when she fights.”

“I’ve been watching Dr. Stone,” Himesha added. “The story and characters are really my type, so I recommend [it].” 

“Recently, I watched Hell’s Paradise. I loved the story, and I love all the [characters],” A’mei stated. “I really recommend it.”

“I watched Honey Lemon Soda. I love school stories and romance stories,” De_Hana said. “I watched the anime, the movie, and even read all of the manga. I really love [it].”

Referencing a past interview regarding her favorite childhood anime, I had to ask De_Hana about her favorite Pokémon.

“My favorite Pokémon is Rowlet because he’s so cute,” De_Hana shared before she mimicked his cry which brought the whole room to laughter. “He goes, ‘rrr!’”

Anime cosmosy would pair their songs with

Wanting to further the conversation around anime but also tie in the group’s music, they were each asked to name an anime series they would like to see their songs featured in. 

“I think “Lucky=One” would be [for] the anime called Frieren,” Himesha stated. “The vibe really matches [well].”

Kamión looked to the classic anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion

“I’d love “zigy=zigy” to be an opening for Evangelion,” Kamión said. “I like Evangelion too, and [the song] fits the world well.”

A’mei identified supernatural series such as Toliet-Bound Hanako-kun and Jujutsu Kaisen. 

“I think Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun and Jujutsu Kaisen because Hanako-kun has yokai, which matches our yokai concept and Jujutsu Kaisen has a dark and unique concept,” A’mei shared. “I think “Silence ~ body & soul ~” suits those anime.”

For De_Hana, she chose the Pretty Cure anime franchise that features girls magically transforming into warriors to fight evil and save the world. 

“I’d choose Pretty Cure. I think “Paradise ~ I need you ~” would fit really well as an opening because they both have a girls-warrior concept,” De_Hana stated. 

Favorite parts of the ‘Paradise ~ I need you ~’ music video

Their song ‘Paradise ~ I need you ~’ is their recent single, which also had a music video release. The group was asked about their favorite parts of the music video which they hope fans will enjoy as well.

“When we buy a prism ring, each member has a different item. I hope [everyone] checks each member’s item,” De_Hana said.

A’mei’s favorite was the acting from all the members, especially their faces as they play spirits from Japanese folklore turned human.

“My favorite part is every member’s acting because we play yokai who have become human,” A’mei explained. “We hope our fans pay attention [to] our facial expressions.”

For Kamión and Himesha, they both highlight A’mei as their favorite parts of the music video. 

“My favorite scene is when A’mei runs from [the] yokai world back to the [real] world,” Kamión highlighed. “That scene is so beautiful, and A’mei’s running is amazing.”

“In the music video, A’mei goes [into] her dream world. It feels like another world, but actually [it’s her] imagination,” Himesha said. “It’s so exciting, I hope everyone checks it out.”

Games being played by cosmosy

And of course, anime and gaming are intertwined topics nowadays, especially at Anime Expo, so the members also shared what games they were currently playing. 

“I play Animal Crossing, Tomodachi Life, and Minecraft,” A’mei listed. “Next, I want to play Super Smash Bros. with my members.”

Similarly, De_Hana is also playing Tomodachi Life. 

“I’ve been playing Tomodachi Life lately. You can make your own characters, [and] it’s really fun,” De_Hana explained. “I made people around me in the game.”

Himesha has been enjoying her time playing the classic puzzle game Tetris. 

“I’ve been playing Tetris lately,” Himesha said. “It’s so simple, but it’s so fun for me.”
