Coming in November…

Helluva way to make a debut, I’d say.
Artist Mark Spears crashes the House of Ideas in November with a fab Amazing Spider-Man #1004 variant cover that channels the sensibility of the late, great Jazzy John Romita.
Dig this:

He had me at the “Romita eyes” but what I also appreciate is, like Jazzy John, he keeps the “man” in Spider-Man. A guy would have to be pretty flexible to move like that, but it’s plausible. He’s not swooping around with his foot above his head, like a cat cleaning himself, y’know what I’m saying?
Spears has been doing a lot of DC variants of late but now he’s seeing how the other side lives.
“This November… Amazing Spider-Man #1004.
I make my debut. Dream accomplished. Available as a regular cover and virgin variant,” he wrote online.
