Weekly 1-Step Planner:

Circle 5-6 recipes from the recipe planner using a dry erase marker.

Each night, choose one of your pre-selected recipes to make for dinner that night, and erase your circle. That’s it!

You’re menu planning is so easy because you’re first selecting from recipes you know and your family loves. By picking out recipes at the beginning of the week you can prepare any needed ingredients and plan those recipes around your family’s schedule.

When it’s time to pick which recipe for each night, you have built-in flexibility to adapt what you prepare, as needed, with all of the remaining recipes you’ve pre-selected to choose from each night.

Some Notes on Use:

I like to leave some openings for leftovers and flexibility. We plan a date night most weeks where the kids will eat kid foods for dinner.

I prefer to not assign specific recipes to specific nights, but by picking out what to make for the week, it limits my choices when it comes to starting dinner for the night. I now just have a few choices and can easily decide which one I’m in the mood for that evening.

Print and organize your recipes by these 6 subcategories in your recipe binder to not only make it easy to plan your recipes, but easy to find and make your recipes as well!
