It is uncommon to find a Lindisfarne home that is the size of a lifestyle listing, but property lovers have discovered No.11 Kent St hiding in plain sight.
This five-bedroom home is set on 1.02ha of private, established grounds, complete with a swimming pool and tennis court, just minutes from Hobart’s CBD.
It’s little wonder, then, that the property has become Tasmania’s most-viewed listing on realestate.com.au this week, racking up more than 4700 views as buyers across the state take notice of this rare offering in one of Hobart’s most tightly held Eastern Shore suburbs.
Peterswald property representative Hamish Reeve says the result, while pleasing, didn’t come as a shock.
“We knew from the outset that No.11 Kent St was going to generate a lot of interest. It is such a unique property for Lindisfarne, particularly given the amount of land, privacy and space it offers,” he said.
“Seeing that translate into the No.1 position online is certainly a great result.”

That digital popularity has translated directly into real-world activity, with Mr Reeve confirming that inquiries and inspections have mirrored the online buzz.
“The online engagement has been reflected in the number of inquiries, private inspections and conversations we’ve had with buyers,” he said.
“It has appealed to a really broad range of people, which is often a good indication that we’ve marketed and positioned the property well within the marketplace.”
So, what exactly has drawn so much attention to this five-bedroom property? Mr Reeve points to the rare combination of attributes on offer.
“You simply don’t find many properties in Lindisfarne with more than 1ha of established grounds, that level of privacy and such a substantial home — particularly with a swimming pool and full-size tennis court.
“It offers a lifestyle you would more commonly associate with a property in Acton Park or further out, but with the significant advantage of being in such a convenient and tightly held suburb.
“That combination is very difficult to replicate.”

Asked whether No.11 Kent could fairly be labelled the best home currently on the market in Lindisfarne, Mr Reeve describes it instead in terms of the experience it delivers.
“I think the best way to describe it is as a property that offers an exceptional sense of space and lifestyle, in a location where you simply wouldn’t expect to find it,” he said.
“It has the feel of a semirural property, but you’re still only minutes from the city.
“That contrast is probably what makes it such a compelling and unusual property for Lindisfarne.”
Tucked away from the street and surrounded by mature trees and gardens, the property feels wonderfully removed from the everyday.
Alongside multiple bedrooms, there are three bathrooms, giving families, guests or those working from home plenty of flexibility.

The master suite is a highlight, privately positioned with a walk-in wardrobe, ensuite and a patio overlooking the gardens.
A kitchen opening to a substantial covered courtyard creates a seamless entertaining space, while two sunrooms and two fireplaces add character and warmth throughout the changing seasons, complemented by ducted heating for year-round comfort.
Outside, the backyard is predominantly level, private and beautifully maintained, offering an abundance of usable space for children, pets or entertaining.
A solar-heated swimming pool with an electric cover forms a striking centrepiece, while a large double shed and workshop, together with additional outbuildings for garden storage and firewood, round out the practical offering.
The property is listed with Bec Owens and Hamish Reeve at $1.75m-plus.
