Evil Empire’s The Rogue Prince of Persia is now feature complete and development has ended. In a blog post, the developer has confirmed the update this week was the game’s last.

The anniversary update added new combat zones where players faced waves of enemies alongside a new mechanic to freeze and slowdown enemies. There’s also a speed run mode with built-in timers to track movement and optimize skills. There’s also a Parkour Mode emphasizing wall running, routing, and agility.
The Anniversary Update adds two new weapons and four new tools, including a trap-like tool to help you evade and take out enemies.
“We originally planned two, but decided to bring the best and most important parts into this one,” the post says.
“It’s been an honour and a privilege to work on such an iconic franchise, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who played, supported us, or followed along.”
“It’s time to say goodbye to the Prince. We hope he keeps running for a very, very long time,” the post ends.
The Rogue Prince of Persia is available on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC.
