Mo Klé is the stage name of the Swiss songwriter René Grünenfelder who returned this summer with new album Three Chords and a Shaking Hand.
“Expert” is a standout from the record that is described as a “commentary on today’s culture of debate, the media landscape, and the post-truth era we live in.”
There’s a charming shimmering indie rock sound with a playful and sneakily infectious energy that ponders these themes with a thoughtful insight. There’s a blend of The War on Drugs and Kevin Morby, just with a slightly more pop leaning. quality that shines through with an absolutely delightful way that feels timeless as if it could have been released during any era.
