Far be it for me to not do any research, but for the life of me I could not figure out who Gail is.
Or was. Could be one of the two, I’m not totally sure.
Oh, I know Gail just got their own beer, Gail Force (Schwarzbier, 4.8% ABV)

And when released, there were quite a few people at Lincoln’s Beard Brewing that seemed to remember her fondly and lamented her not being there. I’m hoping somebody who reads this will give me a quick clarification so I can update the post, but in the meantime she has quite a tasty Schwarzbier made in her honor.
It’s deep and roasty black, with heavy nutty and bready aromas. The flavor, while obviously centered around dark and heavy roasted malts, bring to mind a bit more of a roasted nut sweetness. It’s maybe an unsalted peanut or walnut, almost. There’s a bit of earthy hops, and all that is on an incredibly light and flowing mouthfeel.
It’s deceptively simple to drink, but still full flavored. I don’t know if she did, but I hope Gail was able to have some of her namesake beer, or at least be happy knowing it is in her honor.
Drink Florida Craft,
Dave
