Yesterday we were shooting a video in Greinruss, and Vladimir Sotskov suddenly arrived and brought his beer. Vladimir is the head brewer of the Dacha restaurants in Malakhovka and Novy Arbat. I’ve already made videos about both restaurants and, of course, about breweries. The beer in both places was great, but I didn’t blog about it. Correcting myself!
Unfortunately, beer bottling in restaurants is manual, so it is slightly different from what is sold in bottles. A separate brewery with a bottling line is currently under construction.
Dacha Lager #5 is a bright and well-hopped lager similar to IPL. The aroma has light tropical notes, and the taste has a caramel body and a pleasant earthy aftertaste. The rating is “B+”.
Dacha Red Ale is an excellent and balanced red ale that I enjoyed drinking at the Craft Depot Festival 2023 and now. In the aroma – red berries and caramel, and the taste-dryness and volume. The rating is “B+”.
Dacha weiss-the right weissbier with a strong phenolic aroma when poured from the bottle, which goes away in a couple of minutes. The taste didn’t seem watery to me, but the balance was achieved. Rating “B”.
Dacha stout-dense and dry, with a slight burnt taste. The beer is designed to be served with nitrogen, so it was degassed, but there is still some foam. The rating is “B-“.
If you are on Novy Arbat, then I recommend looking into the “Dacha”. The place isn’t very cheap, but the food is delicious and the beer is great, especially if you drink it on the spot.
