Great Lakes Brewing Co. (GLBC) announces its Florida release of fan favorite seasonal Mexican Lager with Lime and new seasonal variety pack, Sunshine Party Pack.
Florida’s Warm Welcome
Great Lakes entered Florida in October, 2025, bringing its beloved seasonal Christmas Ale, followed by its St. Patrick’s Day-ready Conway’s brand family. Due to growing enthusiasm in the market, GLBC is now delivering even more seasonal flavor to the Sunshine State.
Mexican Lager with Lime, a 5.4% light golden lager brewed with real lime peel and purée, begins rolling out throughout Florida this April in 6- and 12-Pack cans and draft. The beer’s artwork features an iguana sunning itself with a lime, reflecting the beer’s beach-friendly flavors. GLBC Marketing Director Vicki Campana speaks to the brand’s potential in the Florida market. “Our sales team sampled legacy brands Dortmunder Gold Lager, Edmund Fitzgerald Porter, and Eliot Ness Amber Lager which were instant hits, but there was also lots of buzz for the Mexican Lager package. With its colorful look and refreshing fruit flavor, we think it’s going to win over a lot of locals.”
More Sunshine, More Party
The brewery also sends its Sunshine Party Pack, the second new occasion-based seasonal variety pack for 2026. Irish Party Pack arrived in Florida in January and quickly sold out. Sunshine Party Pack features more Florida heat-friendly brews including new year-round Orange & Honey Wheat and the pack-exclusive Orange & Lime Shandy:

Great Lakes plans to release Mexican Lager with Lime throughout the entirety of the state as demand grows, beginning with Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Naples, Orlando, Palm Beach, Sarasota, Tallahassee, and Tampa. Packages can be located using the brewery’s Beer Finder tool, which will populate in the coming weeks. The brewery encourages Great Lakes fans to contact their favorite retailer to request it.
