We are living in uncertain times and I won’t lie, I’m somewhat worried. Eating healthy is becoming more and more difficult as food prices keep going up. It seems being frugal is a struggle these days.
While there are definitely more affordable ways to eat, and I had followed that way of consuming food for many years, those ways are not necessarily the healthiest. At least not for me. For my health, I needed to change up how I consumed food and what I ate.
A few years ago I learned I have diabetes, when I started going blind with cateracts. Within just a couple of months I could not see and needed to have two surgeries. On top of that, I had figured out that most of my asthma issues were food related. Getting on a better track was not easy, but it was necessary.I’m learning which of the more affordable foods I can still consume while keeping my blood sugar at a healthy reading. My body also does not process dairy milk, yogurt, and ice cream well. If you have also had to change your diet for health reasons, or want to start to avoid the issues so many are now having, follow along with my journey. I can’t promise the ultimate savings on food, I can promise to give tips for saving money and staying healthy any time I find more.
Feel free to tweak these recipes as you need to for the most savings and the healthiest diet for you.
Brightest Blessings!
