Work Week Meals for the Week of 5/26

A few weeks back I bought a family pack of pork chops. I paid $7.48 for a pack of 12 boneless chops, which were on sale. The original price was $9.23. A $1.75 cent savings. I like a deal, and don’t see many these days, so I was happy about this. I couldn’t have gotten the same amount of beef for this price.

I brought this home, used 5 for my meal prep day, and then split the rest between two zipper bags for the freezer.

The cost per chop was about $0.62. I used 4 for this week’s meal prep at $2.48, and bought a potato for $0.88, grapes at $1.98, and celery at $2.87. I spent $8.21 for my work week meals at about $2.05 per meal. Plus, I have a lot of that cabbage left for next week and had extra celery for snacking. Not too bad.

I made Skillet Pork Chops and Skillet Roasted Potato, and had grapes, chopped celery and chucks of cabbage. These have been good, filling meals this week.
