Toyota Yaris Cross hits record ranking at #3 – Best Selling Cars Blog
10,754 new passenger cars found a buyer in Hungary in November, a shy 1% year-on-year growth. This is however still a strong month as November 2024 was up 28% on the year prior. The year-to-date tally is now up 6.9% to 117.510. Skoda (+3.8%) climbs to first place in the brands ranking for the first time since September 2024 with 11% share vs. 8.8% year-to-date. #1 last month, Toyota (+4.2%) drops to #2, distancing a freefalling Suzuki (-28.1%). Suzuki however remains the #1 brand year-to-date with 11.1% share but is threatened by Toyota just 287 sales below. Hyundai (+69.6%), Opel (+26%), Dacia (+23.1%) and BMW (+14.8%) all shine below.
The Skoda Octavia (+7.3%) takes the lead of the models charts for the first time since last July with 5.5% share, one percentage point above its YTD level. It however remains #2 year-to-date below the locally assembled Suzuki S-Cross (-12.2%) in difficulty this month. The Toyota Yaris Cross (+73.4%) surges ahead yoy and ranks #3 for the month, a new ranking record for the nameplate. Meanwhile the Suzuki Vitara implodes at -37.1%. The Hyundai Tucson (+148%) does even better at #6 vs. #13 YTD, with the Toyota C-HR (+61.1%), Corolla Cross (+59.3%) and Dacia Duster (+27.6%) also impressive below.
