BYD Denza India Launch: D9 Electric MPV and Z9 GT Expected With Premium Features and Long Range
The largest maker of electric cars by the name BYD is set to launch its luxury car brand, Denza, in the Indian market. The company made the announcement regarding the brand’s entrance into the Indian market through a social media post. The BYD Denza D9 MPV and BYD Z9GT are expected to be the two model launches of the brand in India.
In the Indian market, the BYD Denza D9 MPV will have to compete with the likes of Toyota Vellfire, MG M9, and Mercedes-Benz V-Class. It is a luxury electric MPV whose dimensions are: 5,250 mm in length, 1960 mm in width, and 3,110 mm in wheelbase. Here are the features of the BYD Denza D9 MPV.
The car will come with bi-directional sliding doors, soft-closing doors, Nappa leather upholstery, wooden trim, ambient lighting, second-row Air Spa seats, leg rest with heating, ventilation, and massage, a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and rear entertainment screens (optional).
The Denza D9 luxury electric MPV is sold in both plug-in hybrid and electric versions internationally. It is expected that the company will offer only the electric version of this luxury MPV in the Indian market. The D9 MPV comes with two battery pack options: 103kWh and 115kWh. The D9 is claimed to have a range of up to 800 km on a single charge.
