The Air France KLM Flying Blue loyalty program is well-known for its monthly rotating series of Promo Rewards, which offer 25% discounts on short-haul and long-haul redemptions on Air France and KLM flights.
The October 2026 Promo Rewards are now live, and this is a big month for Canadians. Five Canadian cities are discounted in economy at just 18,750 miles each way, 25% below the usual 25,000.
Montreal (YUL), Ottawa (YOW), Calgary (YYC), and Toronto (YYZ) are open to all members. Vancouver (YVR) joins them for Flying Blue Extra subscribers. That’s coast-to-coast coverage, up from three Canadian cities in September and none in August.
With travel valid through March 31, 2027, there’s plenty of room to fit in a winter getaway or a March break trip to Europe.
This batch also brings a new wrinkle, with a handful of Promo Rewards between the US and destinations in Asia and Africa, such as Atlanta (ATL) to Beijing (PEK / PKX) in economy for 30,000 miles.
Flying Blue Extra subscribers get even more options with access to exclusive Promo Rewards, clearly marked with an “Extra Exclusive” label. These “Extra Exclusive” routes are only bookable if you’re a Flying Blue Extra subscriber.
Promo Rewards are a major perk to being a member of Air France KLM Flying Blue. Promo Rewards are typically released monthly and offer 25% off in select markets on Air France & KLM flights in various classes of service.
If you can find a Promo Reward that works for your schedule, they’re usually the best way to take advantage of the already competitive award pricing on Air France and KLM flights. Plus, the airlines have an excellent network in primary and secondary markets in North America, as well as expansive coverage across Europe.

Long-haul Promo Rewards
All long-haul Promo Rewards below are 25% off the standard award price for travel to or from Europe, and include connecting flights within Europe through Paris (CDG) or Amsterdam (AMS). For Canadians, the headline fares are Montreal (YUL) and Ottawa (YOW) on Air France and Calgary (YYC) and Toronto (YYZ) on KLM, all in economy at 18,750 miles and open to all members, with Vancouver (YVR) at the same price for Flying Blue Extra subscribers.

A check mark in the Extra Exclusive column means the route is only bookable by Flying Blue Extra subscribers.

Pricing & Booking Window
Air France KLM Flying Blue uses harmonized standard award pricing. For long-haul flights between North America and Europe, the minimum price you’ll pay is the same whether you fly from Boston (BOS) or Vancouver:
- Economy: starting at 25,000 miles (18,750 miles with a 25% Promo Reward)
- Premium economy: starting at 40,000 miles (30,000 miles with a 25% Promo Reward)
- Business class: starting at 60,000 miles (45,000 miles with a 25% Promo Reward)
Short- and medium-haul flights from Paris or Amsterdam are priced lower:
- Economy: starting at 6,000 miles with a Promo Reward
- Business class: starting at 15,000 miles with a Promo Reward
Promo Reward tickets are available for one-way and round-trip flights, allowing for flexibility in your travel plans. Promo Reward discounts are only applicable on the lowest standard award pricing when available, and not on dynamically priced flight segments.
Keep in mind that Flying Blue Promo Rewards come with a booking deadline. You must book the October 2026 Promo Rewards by October 31, 2026; however, the travel window extends all the way through March 31, 2027, which covers the winter holidays and March break.
Promo Rewards and the New Light Fares
Since September 8, 2026, Flying Blue award tickets on Air France and KLM flights have been split into Light, Standard, and Flex fares, and Flying Blue’s Promo Rewards page now confirms that the Promo price is the price of the Light fare.
Light fares don’t include changes or refunds, advance seat selection, or a checked bag in economy and premium economy, and Business Light fares don’t include lounge access. Elite members fare better, as Platinum and Ultimate members can change and refund Light fares free of charge, and Flying Blue Gold keeps most of its benefits on a Light fare.
Standard and Flex fares include more, but they cost more miles than the Promo price. That makes a Promo Reward the least flexible ticket in the lineup, so it’s worth being confident in your dates before you book.
How to Earn Flying Blue Miles
You can earn Air France KLM Flying Blue miles by booking flight tickets on Air France, KLM, and its SkyTeam partners.
Additionally, in Canada, you can transfer Amex MR points at a 1:1 ratio, which can be earned via the entire suite of American Express Membership Rewards credit cards.
There’s also the Air France KLM World Elite Mastercard® by Brim Financial, which unfortunately doesn’t offer a welcome bonus in the form of miles at the moment.
Overall, Flying Blue is a program that is rapidly growing in prominence for points collectors, especially with regular Promo Rewards, credit card partnerships, and competitive award pricing.
Conclusion
With rotating discounts of up to 25% across its network, Air France KLM Flying Blue’s monthly Promo Rewards can offer great value for those looking to travel to, from, or through Europe.
