Reflecting on 2025 – Finding Beauty in Life

This year was an incredibly challenging but also an amazingly awesome one as well. The best way to describe the type of year I had is that it was a true dichotomy—filled with great attacks and great victories; incredible and literal peaks and surprising lows. What I thought would break me, actually made me stronger. I was able to travel with my family to Ireland; Northern Ireland; Montreal & Quebec, Canada; Burlington, Vermont; Aspen, Colorado; Phoenix and Tuscan, Arizona; Atlanta, Georgia; and various places within North Carolina.

As the year closes, I am filled with hope, gratitude, and determination. Hope that the best is still yet to come. Gratitude for a wonderful husband who loves, champions, and celebrates me and beautiful children who are resilient and love me unconditionally. Determination that there will never be another year like 2025! My boundaries are firm; I’m disconnecting from unfruitful things and relationships; and a resolve to keep trusting God like never before.

This year, I overcame the threat of being changed for the worse. I almost let the attacks and my enemies embitter me. But instead, I will hold on to the lessons I’ve learned and allow God’s healing to continue. No one and or anything will dim my light. Yes, there are evil people in the world but there are also kindhearted and loving people too. (Thank you!)

2025 was a beautiful mess but I am so glad that God makes everything beautiful in its time just like one of my favorite scriptures says (Ecclesiastes 3:11). While some chapters closed, I am looking forward to new beginnings.
