SZA called out The White House, and The White House responded

Joining Sabrina Carpenter and dozens of other artists, on Thursday SZA called out The White House for using her music in an pro-ICE advertisement. In a post on X, the singer wrote: “White House rage baiting artists for free promo is PEAK DARK ..inhumanity +shock and aw tactics ..Evil n Boring 🫩.” Her manager, TDE’s Punch, also slammed the White House, writing, “Trying to provoke artist to respond in order to help spread propaganda and political agendas is nasty business. Knock it off.”

Hours later, The White House responded to SZA with their own statement: “Thank you, SZA, for drawing even more attention to the tremendous work America’s ICE officers are doing by arresting dangerous criminal illegal aliens in American communities.”
