The UNSW Roundhouse’s build was completed in 1961. It is a significant Sydney architectural landmark, designed by Rudder, Littlemore & Rudder. Its unique circular design, which was designed to symbolize inclusiveness and unity, provides a stimulating backdrop for any event.

In 2018, a $31 million renovation ensured that it is now equipped with the latest in technology and comfort, while still retaining its iconic structure.

There are a variety of flexible spaces, perfect for a range of events from intimate meetings to large-scale conferences.  Amongst these are:

The main auditorium

Situated right at the centre of the UNSW Roundhouse, on the ground floor, is the main auditorium which can accommodate up to 500 guests in a seated banquet style layout. This space is ideal for larger conferences by day. Transform the room to also suit your gala dinner by night.

Meeting Rooms

There are eight meeting rooms of varying sizes on the ground floor and first floor, all of which are equipped with the latest audio-visual equipment. These rooms are ideal for smaller conferences, workshops, and breakout sessions.

The Beergarden and Club Bar

The Beergarden and Club Bar can be used for informal gatherings and more relaxed networking events. Hosting up to 500 guests, they offer a casual atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor options.

The Green Room

Set up the Green Room as an exclusive space for your speakers and VIPs to prepare. The Green Room is a private area equipped with refreshments, bathrooms, desks and comfortable seating so that your speakers and VIPs can make last minute changes to their presentation and can get ready to go on stage.

Location

The UNSW Roundhouse is conveniently located right next to the Kensington light rail stop, making it easily accessible by public transport.  Attendees can hop on the light rail to get to their accommodation at Central or hop on a bus to easily get down to accommodation at Coogee. It also has ample parking available for guests.
